About me
My sculptural work is grounded in the tension between internal experience and external form. I explore psychological and social themes, often shaped by lived experiences that fractured my sense of safety and power. These personal undercurrents don’t appear as direct narratives; instead, they’re embedded in every choice I make, from the materials I use to the gestures I construct. My process of creating a sculpture is intuitive and physical. It might begin as a mental image, a sketch or simply by joining pieces together. The true satisfaction comes in the fabrication, where resistance, negotiation, and release become part of the work itself.
Steel is my primary material. Working with industrial metals is not just technical; it is an act of reclaiming. Through welding, cutting, bending, grinding, I turn emotional force into structure. My sculptures are more than objects; they are declarations made visible in metal. They carry memory and the energy of survival. I am driven by the question of how a structure can express something unseen, and I aim to create works that are not only seen but deeply felt.
